North Somerset Council, in partnership with Turner Works, commissioned Retail Revival to undertake a visitor survey in the town centre of Weston-super-Mare. The survey was conducted to understand how visitors travel to Weston, how they use and perceive the town and how they would like it to adapt to stay relevant for their lifestyles.
Further research was undertaken on the edge of town and in competing town and city centres including Bristol, to understand the perceptions people held of Weston-super-Mare. This research will inform a wider programme to identify projects, which will meet local need and aspirations, to unlock investment and reposition Weston-super-Mare to attract a wider demographic.
