Bexley Digital Skills Programme

In 2020 Retail Revival was commissioned by Bexley Council to design and deliver a programme of support tailored to meet the needs of high street businesses who were facing challenges as a result of Covid-19.

We designed a business support online portal for businesses from every sector, from beauty and hospitality to service industries and light manufacturing, it comprised:

• A short questionnaire for businesses to complete to identify their key issues
• An automated action plan tailored to meet their business needs generated as a result of the questionnaire
• Access to 20 free password protected webinars which had been pre-recorded for businesses to watch at any time
• Access to free 1-2-1 support with a team of 12 advisors who were expert in health and safety, furlough, employment law, marketing, websites, social media, business planning, finance and grants

We also created and populated two online high street business directories for Welling and Bexley Village and helped businesses to populate their password protected pages and link them to their social media accounts. We provided an industry related calendar of social media content to help businesses post regularly and relevantly.

We visited every high street business in the borough multiple times, and used direct mail, social media and email to promote the programme. After 12 months of delivery we supported over 650 businesses and delivered 3000 hours of business support.
